About Modeshy

Modeshi was built from a lifelong love of fashion and a real appreciation for the stories clothing carries.

My journey started when my children were young, discovering the value and beauty in pre-loved pieces. What began as a practical choice quickly turned into something I genuinely loved, the thrill of finding hidden gems, reimagining them, and giving them a second life. That passion led me to study fashion formally, completing my Certificate III in Applied Fashion Design and Technology, and later working in textile design as a freelancer.

I’ve also owned a high-end fashion boutique in Brisbane, which really shaped my eye for quality, style, and what makes a piece stand out. That same attention to detail now sits at the heart of Modeshi.

Today, Modeshi is all about curated, pre-loved fashion that feels stylish, affordable, and a little bit exciting. Every piece is hand-selected, whether it’s sourced from wardrobes, wholesalers, or my own op shop treasure hunts. I look for pieces you can mix, match, wear for the season, and then pass on again when you’re ready for something new.

Fashion should be fun. It should feel good, not wasteful or out of reach. There’s something really satisfying about building a wardrobe this way, constantly evolving, full of personality, and never boring.

But Modeshi isn’t just about clothes. Giving back is a big part of what I do.

Any items that don’t make it into the final collection but are still in great condition are set aside and given to people in need, completely free. I’m working towards building this into a regular monthly clothing run for those doing it tough.

I also regularly donate to my chosen charity, Second Life Women’s Hub in Maryborough, supporting women in the community who need it most.

Another project close to my heart is the donated dress program. I’m starting with a small collection of gowns and working towards partnering with schools and community organisations. The idea is simple, if someone has a formal, wedding, or special event coming up and can’t afford a dress, they can access one through Modeshi with dignity and no cost.

At its core, Modeshi is about connection. It’s about giving fashion a longer life, making style accessible, and making sure something good always flows back into the community.

That’s what Modeshi stands for.
